National Space Day
The success of the Vikram lander, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) headquarters in Bengaluru on August 26, made the announcement to observe August 23 as National Space Day.
On 23 August 2023, India achieved a historic milestone with the successful soft landing of chandrayaan-3 near the Lunar pole.
